Poetry Week at Primary

This week marked the annual Poetry Week at Primary.

Throughout the week, there was a display of poetry books and also a poem writing station outside the Primary school library, with resources for students to write or copy out poems or select pre-printed poems from the display.

The students learnt about different forms of poetry and how to write them. They also learnt about famous poets throughout history and enjoyed a variety of poetry from all over the world. 

Thursday was a special day of Poetry Week: students chose their favourite poem from the library display to put in their pocket. Every time another student asked to see their poem, they would reach into their pocket, pull out their pocket poem and read it to their classmate.
