K2's visit to Kolbe museum
As part of our Unit of Inquiry into ‘How We Express Ourselves’, K2 visited the Georg Kolbe museum.
We were able to look closely at some sculptures, models and paintings by the Japanese artist Leiko Ikemura.
We were even allowed to go inside one piece, which made us feel like looking at a sky full of stars.
The class was very respectful of the museum environment, which made our teachers proud!
Back in the classroom and inspired by our recent visit to the museum, the class tried their hand at creating their own sculptures using modelling clay. See their great work in the photo below.
