Geography trip to Grüne Woche

Geography trip to Grüne Woche

This week, Grade 11 Geography students had the exciting opportunity to attend Grüne Woche, where they participated in a range of engaging and educational events closely linked to their syllabus and real-world applications.

One highlight was a workshop led by the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations, where students explored the role of the FAO in addressing global food security and sustainable agriculture. Through collaborative activities, students gained insight into different aspects of the FAO’s work and its global impact.

Students also attended the interactive workshop “Berufe zum Anfassen und Mitmachen”, which introduced them to a variety of careers connected to sustainability. This hands-on experience allowed students to learn about green jobs and future career pathways in an engaging and practical way.

Overall, the visit was a wonderful and enriching experience, helping students connect classroom learning with real-life global and sustainability issues.
