Climate Future Conference

How can schools meet the challenges of the climate crisis?

Since 20 November 2019, the Berlin Senate Department for Education, Youth and Family and the Berlin Planetarium Foundation have been inviting students to the annual Climate Future Conference. Students from the fifth grade onwards were invited. Under the motto #climateeducation, students had the chance to discuss the climate crisis with scientists and experts from various initiatives and non-governmental organisations as well as politicians. Together, they tried to develop visions for a climate-friendly future and tried to find out how the challenges of the climate crisis can be brought into schools and how they can be addressed from within schools.

The event at the Zeiss-Großplanetarium also included different kinds of workshops, scientific presentations, hands-on and opportunities to network and plan their own activities.
