Barberini Museum

The Art department had its second trip to the Barberini Museum in Potsdam, this time with the Grade 9 students. We went to see the exhibition 'Surrealism and Magic', with a large survey of important Surrealist paintings. The students were given a guided tour of the exhibition by an art historian and then they all took part in a practical workshop, working with light exposures on photographic paper and using Surrealist techniques of collage and double exposures. On both occasions we had a really interesting and enjoyable day.
