Arts Festival

 

Inspired by Dr Sargent, Head of Arts Faculty, the four houses at Secondary set about preparing  performances on the theme of "green." The morning of Friday 2 September was dedicated to evolving different ideas about how dance, song, art and performance could be used to address the chosen topic. The festival would have occurred on Tuesday of last week; however, heavy rain led to it being postponed. It looked as though the weather would intervene again this week but the skies cleared on time to allow the students to stage some excellent outdoor performances. Judging the competition was a challenge but, after considerable deliberation and debate, Ms Keil, Mr Nicholson and Mr Coutts decided that Amethyst had staged the most impressive show. Many congratulations to them - and to the other houses, too, for their great efforts and to staff for all their input.
