Kinder- und Jugendparlament

Kinder- und Jugendparlament

Together with their teacher, three representatives of our Primary Student Council went to the Kinder- und Jugendparlament meeting and workshop on Wednesday this week.

The Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf Kinder- und Jugendparlament was founded in 2003 and has been representing the interests of young people in the district of Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf for almost 20 years, making it even more child and youth-friendly.

This is where district politics can be actively shaped. The KJP provides the opportunity to take a stand on child and youth policy issues. School facilities, cleanliness, safe traffic routes, nicer playgrounds - these are all topics, for example, on which young people have something to say. In the KJP, children and young people can put forward their own political ideas, which the members of the district council then consider. Children and young people should be actively promoted in their rights and be involved in decisions that affect them today and in the future as adults.
