Gr. 5 trip to Grüne Woche
On Monday, 20th January, the Grade 5 students had the opportunity to visit Grüne Woche, an international trade fair held annually in Berlin. As part of our visit, the students participated in two workshops. The first workshop, "Together for the Forest of the Future," explored the impact of climate change on forests. Students reflected on their own living and the items they use on a daily basis. The second workshop, "Nature as a Place to Learn," highlighted the importance of nature in education and encouraged students to appreciate our animals more.
After the workshops, the students had the chance to explore the fair, discovering and tasting cuisines from around the world. This trip served as a valuable tuning-in activity for their upcoming exhibition later this year. The visit allowed them to begin generating ideas for potential research topics. It was a day filled with learning, exploration, and inspiration for our Grade 5 researchers!
