PYP Exhibition

Passion, Research and Global Thinking

Our Grade 5 students recently presented their PYP Exhibition, an important milestone in the Primary Years Programme.

As the culminating project of the PYP, the Exhibition gives students the opportunity to apply their learning in a meaningful way by researching real-world issues, developing their own lines of inquiry and sharing their understanding with others.

Students chose topics linked to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and presented their learning through graphic organisers and written explanations.

This year’s topics included war and migration, inequality, gender stereotypes, fast fashion, space debris, ocean pollution, endangered animals, deforestation, climate change, intensive farming and pollinators.

The students spoke about their chosen topics with great passion and confidence, sharing their learning with parents, staff and our youngest BBS learners in Early Years.

By presenting to different audiences, students also developed valuable public speaking and communication skills. They learned how to adapt their language, explain complex topics clearly and engage both adults and younger children which are important life skills that grow alongside their academic learning and qualifications.

A big thank you to our staff mentors for guiding the students throughout the process, and well done to Grade 5 on a thoughtful and inspiring Exhibition.
