A Very Special Start to School Life

Einschulung is one of the most important milestones in the German school calendar, marking the very first day of Grade 1. Families celebrate the occasion with real enthusiasm, from colourful decorations and photographs to the traditional Schultüte filled with small gifts and treats.

At Berlin British School, we were delighted to welcome our youngest Primary students as they began their school journey with us. It was a joyful celebration filled with excitement, proud families and plenty of smiles.

A very special thank you goes to our wonderful PTA, who helped make the occasion so memorable by organising the decorations, cake and drinks for everyone to enjoy. Their contribution brought an extra sense of warmth and community to the day.

Starting school is about so much more than entering a classroom for the first time. It is the beginning of discovering new interests, building friendships, growing in confidence and learning how to become part of a wider community. At BBS, we want every child to feel known, supported and encouraged from the very beginning.

We wish all of our new Primary students a wonderful start and every success as they begin this exciting chapter of their school lives.
