Varsity Boys’ GISST Football Friendly

Varsity Boys’ GISST Football Friendly

On Saturday, 13th September, the Varsity Boys played two friendly matches as part of their preparation for the upcoming GISST football tournament at Neu/Ulm.

The boys played against BBIS and the BerIS.

At the start of the first game, the boys took some time to find their rhythm but in the second half, there was more engagement in the team work and lots of opportunities, making it 1:1. However, in the final minutes of the game BerIS scored again, ending the match 2-1. Despite the result, it was a strong performance and a clear step forward in building a strong team.

In the second game against BBIS, saw our boys under a lot of pressure from the start, but they responded with resilience and determination. This was especially impressive considering the team has only two training sessions and without a goal keeper, until Phileas stepped in and did a fantastic job. In the second half of the match, we scored a goal to make it 2:1 but BBIS finished very strong and score 2 more goals, ending the match 4.1.

We have many more training sessions and hopefully a few more friendly games in which to come together as a team.

Many thanks to Mr. Conte and Mr. Silue for their time in coaching the team on Saturday.
