U14 Girls Basketball

U14 Girls Basketball

For over half of the players, this was their first GISST Basketball tournament. They earned our respect through their unwavering determination, continually developing both their individual understanding of the game and the team’s collective spirit, demonstrating immense commitment every step of the way.

The standard of basketball being played was very high, which was highlighted in the final game between BBIS vs BIS. A fantastic game to watch.

The game BBS played against FIS was so close, but we eventually won 26–25. This showed belief, fight, togetherness as a team, and getting more shots in than them. This was also achieved with only one substitute due to three injuries from previous games before. Respect to the team!

In the group stage:

Game 1 BBS 13 - ISF 35

Game 2 BBS 26 - FIS 25

Game 3 BBS 15– 40 BBIS

 5th - 6th playoffs:

Game 4 BBS 12 - FIS 30

In this game, the team showed its adaptability in how to defend, which stopped the opposition scoring so often and kept our team in the game. Unfortunately, although we had many shots at the basket, not many of them went in. Well done to all of you for watching, learning, playing, and putting it into practice.

Thank you all again for what turned out to be a very energetic, positive tournament experience and a huge thank you to Ms Philipp for accompanying us, giving all her time, energy and support.

The last well done is for winning the Fair Play award.

Mr Nicholson, GISST Coordinator
