GISST Tennis Tournament

On 1 April our girls and boys participated in the GISST Tennis Tournament hosted by Leipzig International School, for the first time in exactly two years! Clara, Derin, Leon, Bora, Theo and Viktor competed over one long day playing both doubles and singles.

Our girls´ team only managed to bring together two players, but Leipzig also had two extra players spare, so they came together to create one team. They had a great day, all four of them, and also won the sportsmanship award for their efforts, team togetherness and joyful spirit.

In 2019 both the boys´ double teams lost by one point and in the singles final our Seed 1, Leon and Seed 3, Bora, also lost by one point. Two years further on that was not the case. Leon, Bora, Theo and Viktor won the doubles and singles by more than one point. They also earned the best 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th Seed.

An outstanding feat, unheard of in GISST Tennis history. PROUD is not a big enough word for how Miss Philip and myself feel for them. Many congratulations!
