A Festive Celebration at Berlin British School: Winter Market 2025

Our annual Winter Market at Berlin British School took place last week, and it was a truly joyful celebration that brought our community together in the spirit of the season.

The Primary School campus was transformed into a traditional German Christmas market, with festive stalls offering everything from handmade jewellery  and holiday gifts to warming Christmas punch and delicious baked treats. The atmosphere was lively and welcoming, filled with music, laughter, and the scent of seasonal favourites.

Indoors, visitors enjoyed a wonderful programme of performances. Staff and students alike took to the stage, with piano pieces, karaoke, and musical performances creating a warm and celebratory backdrop throughout the afternoon. The arts and crafts corner was particularly popular, where children enthusiastically created festive decorations to take home for the holidays. And of course, a special highlight for many was a visit from Santa, much to the delight of our younger students.

It was especially heartening to see our BBS students so actively involved in running stalls, from managing a second-hand shop with proceeds going to charity, to helping out at the bake sale. Their enthusiasm, teamwork, and sense of responsibility truly reflected the values of our school community.

A standout moment of the afternoon was the incredible performance by the Berlin Thistle Pipes & Drums, whose music had children (and adults!) dancing along and added a memorable energy to the event.

We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to our PTA for their incredible hard work, dedication, and commitment in organising this wonderful event and in bringing members of the BBS community together. The Winter Market was a beautiful reminder of the warmth, creativity, and community spirit that make Berlin British School such a special place.
