Stronger Together: BBS Teambuilding 2026

Our annual teambuilding got off to a fantastic start this week, bringing students and teachers from across the Primary and Secondary School together for a series of fun and challenging activities.

The House system is an important part of school life in many British schools. It brings students together across different year groups, creating smaller communities within the wider school where friendships can grow, older students can support younger ones, and everyone can contribute to a shared team. Throughout the year, Houses take part in competitions, activities and events, earning points and building a strong sense of identity and belonging.

At BBS, the House system plays an important role in everyday school life. It gives students the opportunity to build relationships across year groups, work together towards shared goals, enjoy friendly competition and get to know one another in a more relaxed and playful setting.

This year’s teambuilding challenges included balancing tennis balls on mats, tackling the Human Knot, coordinated skipping, transporting balls using pool noodles, working together on the Swamp Stompers and several other team-based activities.

Each challenge called for communication, cooperation, patience and creative problem-solving. Teams earned points not only for completing the activities successfully, but also for how well they worked together.

It was wonderful to see so much energy and House spirit across both the Primary and Secondary School, with teachers joining in the fun too.

Throughout the year, students will have many more opportunities to earn points for their Houses, take part in shared activities and strengthen the connections that make our school community so special.

A warm thank you goes to our Head of P.E., Mr Johnstone, and the entire P.E. team, whose planning and passion made this day such a success.
