Secondary Sports Day

Last week on Wednesday, our Secondary School students once again pulled on their House T-shirts for the annual School Sports Day and Festival of Sports.

Our Secondary School staff and PE Department worked harmoniously together to organise a day full of fun and enjoyment for our Grades 6, 7, 8, 9 and 11 - who all ran, jumped and threw their way to glory in each of the activities.

In a new revised format, students competed in a total of eight Athletic events, each student gathering points throughout the day, which went towards the House competition and also towards an individual quest to gain a Gold, Silver, Bronze or Participation Certificate. The results of the House competition were as follows:

 : SAPPHIRE: 1614 POINTS - 1ST PLACE

 : AMETHYST: 1566 POINTS - 2ND PLACE

 : EMERALD: 1367 POINTS - 3RD PLACE

 : RUBY: 1362 POINTS - 4TH PLACE

BBS is proud of each and every student and their achievements and would like to thank the PE Department of Mr. Johnstone, Mr. Nicholson, Mr. Allum, Mr. Murphy, and Mr. Reblin, in addition to our two PE interns on work experience, for the planning and preparation that went into Sports Day.

Also the Secondary Staff for running the stations flawlessly, and last but not least the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) for supplying the wonderful food and drinks.

We hope that each and every student will cherish their medal for many years to come.
