Welcome to the Berlin British School

It is our pleasure to welcome you to the website of the Berlin British School. Either as an existing member of our community of thinkers or prospective member we trust that you find the information helpful.

The main purpose of the Berlin British School is to ensure that the young people we serve are well prepared for the challenges they face in a rapidly changing world. While preparing young people to thrive through academic success, a central part of their education at the Berlin British School is to nurture the development of character through an engaging curriculum and supportive pastoral programme. Our community of thinkers has members from diverse international backgrounds, which gives students an opportunity to explore issues from multiple perspectives.

Our School is an inclusive school and offers an excellent education to students aged 2-18. In years 10 and 11 the school offers a number of International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) courses, in the near future also the German MSA (Mittlerer Schulabschluss) and in the Years 12 and 13 the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP). The IBDP is often described as the gold standard of international education. This allows our school the ability to adopt the best, internationally acclaimed enquiry based learning process, whilst also fulfilling the requirements for Ersatzschulstatus (official recognition in the local school system).

Following an education at the Berlin British School our students have been accepted into some of the top universities in Germany, the UK, the USA and the rest of the world.

We invite you to explore our websites so that you can form a better view of the schooling and the other activities which we provide for international as well as German students.
