On Monday 22nd February, nine of our Year 5 boys gained their first experience of competitive basketball in a game against Phorms, coming away from the experience with some important lessons in sportsmanship. After going down in the first half to clearly stronger side they managed to lift their spirits with the determination to come away from the occasion with a better understanding of how the game works. In addition to learning who to mark and what movement really means, they learnt that you can still have fun and lose.

We look forward to meeting Phorms again after getting in some more training and thank them for the opportunity of a game.
