Middle School

Middle School is a five minute walk from Berlin’s historic Olympic stadium in the leafy suburbs of Charlottenburg, and caters for the needs of children from Years 1 to 5 (ages 5-10).

Our single storey building houses ten light, airy classrooms and a number of specialist teaching facilities including a library, music room, gym, computer suite and a large well equipped playground.

Building on the foundation skills gained at Lower School, learning experiences here continue to be ‘hands-on’ and further enhance the children’s ability to learn independently.In our commitment to making school life positive for all members of our community we view every experience as an opportunity to develop the self-confidence and motivation necessary to achieve full-potential.

While academic achievement is inherent, our entire planned learning programme goes well beyond regular lessons. School trips (including residentials), clubs, festivals, concerts, shows, productions, fairs and sports events provide children with many wider learning experiences that value creativity and teamwork.

Physical Education:

Healthy bodies lead to healthy minds and all our pupils are encouraged to be active through our extensive physical education programme.
Developing fitness, learning new skills and having opportunities to put team skills into practise are central to our ethos. Inter-house competitions allow pupils to develop a real sense of competitiveness in a caring and supportive environment.

The Arts:

Art, drama and music lie at the core of the school's philosophy where all pupils are encouraged to explore and share their individual talents. Pupils may realise their acting potential in school productions, enjoy seeing their artwork displayed in the corridors or play their instruments at one of the many musical evenings. More recently some pupils performed an Indian Bollywood Dance on the S-Bahn around the Berlin city.
