Special Programmes

Reflecting the conviction that education should not – indeed can not – be confined to the classroom, the school offers educational opportunities beyond the borders of a normal school day and programme. Starting even before nursery age, toddlers are invited – with a parent – to attend the Toddler Group for an hour on Thursday mornings. After-school care up to 18.00 is offered to Early Years and Primary School students whose parents cannot pick them up at the end of the school day.

Apart from the numerous extra-curricular activities available during term time, there has been a recent growth of holiday clubs and opportunities for children from outside the school as well as within it. In conjunction with the English Holiday Course Company http://www.ehcc-berlin.com  the school has started an already very popular programme of holiday activities partly designed for children whose parents have commitments during school holiday time or at the weekend.

For those looking for exclusively academic pursuits we can recommend to Year 13 students the Easter holiday IB Revision Courses. Just as we are the only school in Berlin to offer such courses, so are we as an examination centre for the UK November university entrance tests which are rapidly growing in number and demand. 

BBS prides itself on its enriched and rigorous academic programme. But it offers much more. Our commitment to the education of the whole person is mirrored in the many opportunities we offer for intellectual as well as artistic and physical stimulation in our special programmes, to which applicants from outside the school are also welcome to apply.
