Application Process

The first step in our process is to complete an application form to ensure we have current contact details.   We also require copies of passport and previous school reports or transcripts. You may then, via telephone or email, book an individual tour of the appropriate site during school hours.  The visit can be made with or without accompanying children and gives an insight into classroom life as well as the chance to talk with teachers and the Head of School.

Three day visits and assessments

As a next stage, we offer a free three day visit to give both students and teachers the opportunity to get to know each other. It also allows the school to evaluate the student academically and observe the prospects of social adaptability to the school ethos. German language skills are not a pre-requisite to attend BBS.

In Nursery and Reception we use an informal means of assessment developed by the staff and used throughout the school year. This involves observing the children as they go about their activities and assessing their progress.

Enrolment meeting

The admissions process concludes with a meeting with parents, students (if applicable) and Head of School to analyse the trial period and assessment results.  A place in the school may then be offered.
