As our website www.berlinbritishschool.de confirms, ‘Berlin British School is the only school in Berlin to offer an education based on the British model, set in an international context’.
Whilst we draw heavily on the British curriculum, at least up to Key Stage 3, and from the best British teaching methods, we are also an international school which attracts students from the cosmopolitan, attractive and exciting city of Berlin where most of our largely UK educated and trained staff live. Our commitment to educating the whole child is reflected in the school’s wide range of extracurricular activities to which all staff contribute. Again in the best tradition of British education, we also place much emphasis on pastoral care as we recognise that the fulfillment of our students’ academic potential and their individual happiness are interdependent.
We believe that our students enjoy their learning, and wish to attract staff who not only have the highest professional standards but also, put simply, like being in the classroom. For more details on the qualities we look for in our applicants for teaching posts please go to http://www.berlinbritishschool.de/en/about-us/vacancies where an application form is also available.
The school has its own salary scale. Interested applicants should download and complete the application form, and email it, along with their CV and contact details of two referees, to helen.page@berlinbritishschool.de by Wednesday 29 February 2012. Interviews will be in the week starting 12 March or that starting 19 March.
